FIAAA PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY

In cooperation with the NIAAA, the FIAAA offers opportunities for members to enhance their position as an Athletic Administrator by offering NIAAA LTC courses at the Annual State Conference, as well as county or regional training sessions. The Professional Networking Committee will develop a schedule of course offerings and these will be posted when they become available.  In an effort to offer certification opportunities, LTC 502, 503, 504 and will be offered at every conference and occasionally 508 and 510 (both of which are available online), as well as two or more 600 and 700 level courses.

  • LTC 502: Fundamentals of Education-Based Athletic Management
  • LTC 506: Legal Issues II (Title IX and Sexual Harassment)
  • LTC 611: Concepts and Strategies for Interscholastic Marketing, Promotions and Fund-Raising
  • LTC 714: Dealing with Challenging Personalities

Friday, May 1, 2026 – 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm

  • LTC 504: Legal Issues I (Liability for Sports Injuries and Risk Management)
  • LTC 619: Enhancing Event Experiences Through Curb Appeal
  • LTC 628: Mental Health and Wellness for the Student Athlete
  • LTC 723: Providing Standards-Based Professional Development for Coaches

Saturday, May 2, 2026 – 7:30 am – 11:30 am

  • LTC 503: Innovative Strategies in Education-Based Athletics Management
  • LTC 630: Strategies for Administering Interscholastic Athletic Contests: Planning, Preparation, and Emergency Management
  • LTC 704: Recruit/Hire, Mentor and Retain Coaches
  • LTC 710-A: Current Issues in Education-Based Sports
