Tom Stoll Story

FIAAA Logo

Tom Stoll, the driving force behind the development of the athletic program at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Bradenton from 1970 to 1990, is considered one of the founding fathers of the FIAAA and was inducted into the inaugural class of the FIAAA Hall of Fame in 2016.

Tom served for 35 years on the FIAAA Executive Board, including two years as Treasurer before beginning the FIAAA leadership track as President-Elect in 1980-81, the association’s fourth President in 1981-82, and Immediate Past President in 1982-83. From 1983 through 2013, he also served as the association’s Historian.

Many of us also remember him for his dedication to the Mandy Stoll Silent Auction, a fundraiser supporting the Mandy Stoll Scholarship Program, named in honor of Tom’s daughter, Mandy. Following his passing in the spring of 2025, the Higher Education Committee renamed two scholarships in his honor: the Tom Stoll Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards. These awards are presented annually to the top male and female Mandy Stoll scholars.
